Material Obsessions is the creative studio of Matthew DiPietro, a New Jersey based designer and fabricator. The studio was started in 2019 in Blacksburg, Virginia as undergraduate thesis work at the School of Architecture at Virginia Tech. Today the ideology of Material Obsessions continues to be the point of departure for objects, architecture, and processes of construction.
